Full-stack creative. AI-integrated across brand, product, video, and events.
Some designers manage. Some still make things. Few do both.
I’ve spent 15+ years building teams, shaping brands, and never quite putting the tools down. That last part matters. At Vox Media, I took a three-person design group and built it into a 50-person department.
At Inman, I run design across the whole organization — product, events, editorial, brand. Smaller stage, sharper mandate.
Getting closer to execution opened a door I didn’t expect. I watched our dev team rebuild how they worked with AI and decided to figure out how design could fit into that. The first version of everything needed rebuilding. Move fast, fail, fix. Build infrastructure you can actually rely on coming out the other side.
What I’ve learned is that working with AI isn’t a skill problem, it’s a collaboration problem. You problem-solve together, the same way you would with any good colleague.
I think in systems. I design for humans. I build teams that outperform their size, and I stay close enough to the work to know when something’s off.
Based in Lancaster, PA.
Full brand systems from strategy through execution — visual identity, voice, and the documentation that makes it scale.
Component libraries, design tokens, and machine-readable documentation that teams and AI can both work within.
Workflow infrastructure, brief governance, and tool evaluation — building creative operations that move faster without sacrificing judgment.
Growing design orgs from scratch, developing early-career talent, and building departments that punch above their headcount.
Typography systems, information hierarchy, and layouts built for readers who are always in a hurry.
Environmental design at conference scale — stage graphics, room systems, badge programs, and LED walls.
Branded motion graphics, lower thirds, and video templates that keep identity coherent when it starts moving.
UX direction and design oversight across digital products — from publishing platforms to advertising tools.
One-person department. Full event and editorial creative output. Built an AI-integrated workflow, governance process, and brand system from scratch — and shipped everything on time.
3,000 attendees in New York, 500 in Nashville. The Inman brand doing completely different work for completely different rooms — one built with AI, one built on craft.
Full brand system for a real estate media company — visual identity, design tokens, component library, and a self-hosted brand standards site built entirely in Claude Code.
Before AI, I scaled design departments across 20+ properties at Vox Media — Vox.com, SB Nation, Eater, Polygon. The foundation that everything since is built on.
330 independent sports blogs. One circular badge system. Six weeks to give a network of fan communities a brand identity that finally held together.
Ezra Klein left the Washington Post on a Tuesday. Vox.com was live nine weeks later. Three of those weeks were for the brand — including the highlighter yellow that became the product's identity.
Whether you’re starting from scratch or already moving fast — I’m looking for work where design, technology, and AI all live in the same room.
